Where to Find Night Skiing in Tahoe

Only one Tahoe resort currently runs lifts after dark. Here's which one, what to expect, and why it's a strong last-minute option.

The short answer

Of Tahoe's 13 major resorts, only Boreal Mountain Resort currently runs lifts after dark. This changes occasionally as resorts adjust operations, so always confirm current hours on the resort's own mountain report before you drive up.

Why night skiing is a good last-minute move

If you decide at 2pm that you want to ski today, night skiing is often your only real option — the drive up, park, boot up, and lift-served daylight window has already closed. A resort with evening hours turns "I wish I'd left earlier" into "we can still make it." It's also typically cheaper and less crowded than a full daytime session.
